Description

The Finance Manager is part of the executive management team, the candidate will interact with various members of the company, both senior and junior with the responsibility of documenting and implementing systems and processes for effective reporting. The role has 1 direct report and requires someone with previous team management experience who is passionate about creating a culture of execution and team development. The candidate will be responsible for the full financial management function, including but not limited to:

  • Providing strategic input enabling the CEO to make business decisions.
  • Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Taxation and company secretarial compliance
  • Managing and identifying any accounting and financial risks and offer timeously solutions
  • Manage, prepare, and supervise annual audits
  • Establishing and developing relations with company management and stakeholders
  • Reviewing all formal Finance, HR and IT related procedures

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant post graduate degree in Accounting (For example: CA (SA), CIMA or BCom (Hons)
  • 8 – 10 years of Financial Management experience
  • 5 years in a project-based IT and /or Platform business

Competencies and Attitudes

  • In depth knowledge of IFRS, Tax Act and Companies Act
  • Knowledge of SAGE X3, MS Office, Advanced Excel
  • Costing Model management and governance
  • Hands on approach and sound technical accounting knowledge
  • Innovative, strategic and leadership capability
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making
  • Ability to build relationships, manage and engage stakeholders

Description

The Sales and Business Manager is part of the management team, the candidate will interact with various members of the company and includes travelling. The candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective opportunities, developing customer relationships, implementing marketing plan, and fostering the growth of the sales and marketing team and keep abreast of trends and developments in the industry.

The role has direct reports and requires someone with previous team management experience who is passionate about creating a culture of execution and team development. The suitable candidate must have the skills to:

  • Develop annual sales plan for input into the annual business plan.
  • Implementation acumen of the sales plan and Customer/Prospect Development Business Acumen application
  • To lead and direct work of others

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant Degree with a focus on Marketing and Sales Development Management
  • Must have 4-6 years’ experience in sales, including preparation of proposals, presentations, and quotations
  • A sound understanding of principles and concepts relating to the tourism, technology and or platform business
  • Experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis

Competencies and Attitudes

  • In depth knowledge of travel software/systems and tourism industry
  • Hands on approach and sound technical sales knowledge
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making
  • Ability to build relationships, manage and engage stakeholders
